i took over the contents of my fridge and freezer today, and then unpacked the dishes and seasonings i'd taken over there. my place is now all packed except for electronics -- dvd player, tivo, modem, printer, alarm clock, etc. i think i will do most of that tomorrow night (sean is coming over tomorrow -- yay!).
anyway. i sat around in my place after i unpacked the stuff and put in the rest of the shelf liner i have, listened to music, and drank a couple beers. and i was just so... happy. i LOVE this new place. and i am excited that in two days i will be living there. i can't even fathom it. i will have SO MUCH SPACE. and i am getting a new bbq! and i get to buy a new and real big dining room table! after i left i went for a short drive to savor my good mood. now i guess i should go to bed, because i am going to meet the steam cleaners there at 8:30. and then tomorrow i'll move more stuff over! and then on friday i'll have movers! and then friday night ayumi and brian are coming over to help me unpack and hook up my electrics! yay! yay yay yay!

i move friday. my painters finished today! so i'm going to be cutting shelf lining for the cabinets tomorrow, and maybe move dishes and spices that can go on those shelves. and then someone will come and clean on wednesday, and i can start moving some small stuff over. and probably thursday. then i have movers coming friday. i. cannot. wait. for this. to be over.
other than that i've been... oh wait... i've just been packing. except for fridays, i still go out. last week i got one of my favorite compliments as of late: "you look really good for twenty-nine! your skin is really soft and you're not wrinkly or anything!"

escrow closed today! woo! i am very excited. and also overwhelmed by what a pain in the ass everything is. i've been really busy at work and trying to pack and going out and trying to get contractors for various repairs scheduled and... yeah. sorry for not posting more often.
yay! i move in at the end of the month -- getting a few small things fixed first, and will be getting it painted/touched up.
i am tired. but things have been good! the first of the younger generation (my cousin's kids, the ones who call me aunt connie) got married last weekend. sooo surreal. a handful of my "nieces and nephews" are, like, old enough to drink and everything. weirded me out. but it was so nice to see so much family, and we had an amazing ten-course chinese banquet (i have decided i am going chinese banquet all the way when i get married. you know. because it's about that time that i start planning such things. not too early at all.).
oh, but i did get my first moving violation ticket by photo. DAMMIT. $361 for rolling through a red -- but i was turning right! and i thought i stopped. boo. and i have to do traffic school. double-boo.
