Comments: why can't i sleep anymore?

I have a book here that claims you don't need but 7 hours of sleep per night and that 8 hour stuff is all hype. Have you tried taking a twenty minute nap later in the day? You might be able to handle sleeping less more if you did that. (I, uh, have a book on that, too. Let's just say I'm really interested in sleep now.)

Since I only got five hours sleep last night, though (purely through bad planning last night and not some kind of weird book that told me to do that--though I do also have /that/ book) two more hours sounds really nice...:/

the 7 hours don't bother me, it's the 7 hours when i've been getting too little and need to catch up. i got 4 hours of sleep on thursday, and 5 hours of sleep on friday, and then went snowboarding, so i was angry that on saturday i didn't get more than 7 hours of sleep.

i generally can't do a 20 minute nap -- i can't nap at all unless i about to drop dead from exhaustion. but, speaking of which, i took a family leave day and when i got home i passed out and slept for 2 hours. i feel so much happier now. :)
